Red Barrel Vermouth (Vermut Tinto Barrica, abv 15%)
Red Barrel Vermouth (Vermut Tinto Barrica, abv 15%)
This vermouth with 91 points out of 100 in Guía Peñín is made with selected Airén and Tempranillo grapes. The first provides its stability and ability to be impregnated with flavors, while the Tempranillo provides its characteristic colour and sweetness.
A wise combination of 12 botanicals completes the preparation. In addition to wormwood, wild spices such as thyme, marjoram and sage stand out. The botanicals also include dittany, calamus, gentian root, licorice, bitter orange, elderflower, cloves and coriander. After macerating the botanicals, it has been aged in American oak barrels that have previously aged rum.
Pista Corta winery takes its name from the short landing strips used by adventure pilots in bygone days. The vermouths produced by Pista Corta in small quantities embody a passion for exploring unique flavours and tastes. Crafted artisanally, their hallmark is excellence, as demonstrated by their impressive 92-point rating in the prestigious Guía Peñín.
